Hello, I'm Shobana Rajakumari Appavu, known more commonly as "Bob." My illustration is centered around fantasy, horror, humor, and more. I'm also working on a hybrid-format graphic novel, which combines the style of comics with the style of written novels.

Long time no update! I finally got a chance to add The Fire Dragon's Son, an illustration from April, to my portfolio page. Also, prints of my artwork are now available! Please visit the Extras section for more details!

So yesterday I said that I probably wouldn't update again this year, which would have been a pretty good bet, except I managed to put together my 2008 self portrait today after work. It's in the portfolio section. While you're there, don't forget about yesterday's new pictures!

It's been exactly a month since my last update, and it'll most likely be my last update of 2008! Anyway, I added two new pictures to the portfolio page, and I also reorganized that page a bit so it makes more sense.

Added a new picture to the portfolio section! It's an illustration of a wood fairy. A larger image of this can also be found in my blog, along with some other new images.

Work has been keeping me very busy! I've been developing some fun collectibles for the Bradford Group, but it's pretty draining! Luckily I'm finally finding time to catch up on my other projects. Lots of new Unholy stuff today! My hard drive crashed awhile ago, and it spurred me to go ahead and redesign a lot of Unholy, since I lost a lot of pages and would have to redo them anyway. Just want to make things as good as I currently can! New character designs and concept sketches are up. It'll be awhile before I post new pages; there's a lot of revamping I still plan to do.

In anticipation of new equipment that will allow me to resume work on Unholy, I've completed an illustration featuring the comic's main character. You can view it in both the "Portfolio" and "Sequential: Unholy Illustrations" sections!

You can view larger detail shots of the illustration in my blog. I've also added a link in the "Extras" section where you can buy prints of my artwork.
